With the recent advances in VLSI technology, the high performance image/video processing for the multimedia and artificial intelligence (AI) applications appears possible. There are two approaches to implement the multimedia and AI processing algorithms. One is to use dedicated architectures.
The architectures offer a high performance processing capability, but take considerable time and effort to fabricate and test. In this talk, we will introduce these two design methodologies for the multimedia and AI processing processors
