In recent years, the development trend of information technology has been that of integration. Not only have science and engineering, theory and application been intimately combined, software and hardware, the internet communications and data analysis of the Internet of Things, and even digital household appliances have been integrated. The College of Computer Science of National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University has set a goal of becoming a top-class international information research and education center. According to educational and research trends, the educational and research units of the College of Computer Science consists of one department, multiple institutes (Please refer to the organizational structure chart). The Undergraduate level of the College consists of the Department of Computer Science, which is founded on the mission of nurturing the next generation of elite computer professionals. The three graduate institutes are: The Institute of Computer Science and Engineering, the Institute of Network Engineering, and the Institute of Multimedia Engineering, all of which take as their mission the nurturance of high-level professionals in information, network, and multimedia technology. Currently, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University College of Computer Science is the largest college of computer science amongst the country’s universities, and boasts of the most abundant lineup of teaching excellence, with as many as 70 professors, and first-class computer and network experimental equipment.
