Since the establishment of our department and up till the present day, more than ten thousand bachelors, masters, and doctors have graduated to become alumni of our College, becoming a core pillar of national and international industry, government, and research academia. In order to interlink this abundant and vibrant pipeline of human connections, Senior Classmate Huang Chung-Chi (Department of Computer Engineering, 1980) actively planned and established the “Association of NYCU College of Computer Science Alumni,” and served as the first Association President, making significant contributions to consolidating the strength of department alumni. The second association president was Senior Classmate Lin San-Yuan (Department of Computer Engineering, 1981), and the third and current Association President is Senior Classmate Yu Hsiao-Hsien (Department of Computer Science, 1981). With successive passing of the torch, they have continued the mission of connecting alumni of the department. Right now, Senior Classmate Liang Pin-Hsien serves as Deputy President, and Senior Classmate Chen Yung-Sheng and Huang Wei-Chung serve as Executive secretaries of the association. They are combining the united efforts of college and department professors in running operations, and together are implementing affairs such as passing down traditions, consultation, connection, and support.
