COLLEGE OF COMPUTER SCIENCE NYCU
Graduate Program for Information and Network Systems
The College of Computer Science of National Yang Ming Chiao Tong University (NYCU), in line with the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) Information Security Talent Cultivation Program and the Ministry of Education (MOE) Information Security Program, has invested in the development of information security-related research and teaching for many years by establishing Information Security Teaching Laboratory and offering information security-related programs. In April 2005, in conjunction with the establishment of the Taiwan Information Security Center (TWISC), the TWISC@NCTU Teaching and Research Center was established in Central Taiwan. In December 2016, in order to cultivate high-level information security talents, TWISC created the first Hacker College, which was mainly organized by the College of Computer Science, including technical skills of information security capabilities, practical technical exercises, attack and defense case studies, and application platform operations, etc. In 2020, TWISC@NYCU was upgraded to a university-level center. Through the integration of the existing TWISC@NYCU teaching and research resources, Hacker College teaching and research resources, and the equipment resources of the National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence, the information security curriculum constructed by the institute is the most complete among all colleges and universities in the nation, ranging from the basic knowledge to the advanced technology, and also covering the fields of software security and hardware security.
